One of the best places to easily view the Oregon Dunes, with a nice hiking trail so you don't have to climb up and down the dunes if you don't wish to.

Our dunes span a 40 mile stretch on the Oregon coast. Whether riding a sand buggy, 4 wheeler or sliding down the dunes on a "sand board", you will find something to do and can explore our dunes like a local.

An extension of this dune system reaches just outside Florence, OR. Located 3 miles from the unit, the entrance to this recreational area will lead you through various walking trails from the secondary dunes all the way down to the primary dunes which sit close to the ocean surf. This road leads you to the south jetty of the Siuslaw River, where many wind enthusiasts have been seen surfing and sailing the strong coastal breezes of summer.
