If you like caves of all sizes, this is your spot. This unique trail is open even during COVID and offers an insight into ever-changing nature after Mt. Saint Helens eruption. Continue to Lava Canyon Traihead for a beautiful day trip.

One of my favorites! It’s a short hike (1/4 mile) along a boardwalk, but a great stop to get a peek at the effect of a lava flow on the forest. You can even crawl through a tunnel created by lava flow over a fallen tree! Restrooms available.
