A cozy, long-time neighborhood institution conveniently located across the street from the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. Try the baklava if you're fortunate enough to snag seats (it's a favorite study spot for Columbia students) - if you're on the go, grab a coffee and a poppyseed Hamantaschen.

A great place to grab a coffee and fresh pastry. A nice atmosphere to read, work, or people watch. This is a popular meet up spot for various intellectual or enthusiast groups.

A historic coffee shot where many books and dissertations were written. Lovely intimate atmosphere compensates for the poor coffee quality..
