For more intense camping excursions, there's the Bob Marshall Wilderness. 1.2M acres of untouched land - no electricity or any sort is allowed inside. You must plan, and travel in & out by horse with packers. Not for the faint of heart!

*Sigh*, Hike your heart out here and never see less than pristine, beautiful forested mountains and meadows that roll on for ever into the deep blue sky. More than your share of wild life, so pack the bear spray and bells, leave the bacon and peanut butter at home. Worth a day trip.
