At 2017's Canadian Cheese Grand Prix, Handeck cheese took home the title for best Farmhouse Cheese in all of Canada. Handeck cheese is an 18 month old Swiss Alpine style cheese that cheese maker Shep Ysselstein is making very similar to the cheeses he made while learning how to make cheese in Switzerland. The team at Gunn's Hill couldn't be more excited for this award, which also credits the Ysselstein family farm, Friesvale Farms, for the incredible milk they are producing from their herd.
