I love going to see the gorgeous flowers in an array of colours, and to feel the bustling vibe. There is often live music, and couples and families strolling around. You always see people around east London with flowers wrapped in brown paper and you know they’ve been to Columbia Road. The street is also full of independent shops full of creativity. They start setting up at 4 am and open at 8 am, though I’ve never made it there before 12 noon.

Columbia Road Flower Market is a street market in Bethnal Green. It is famous for being one of London's oldest flower markets, with the best quality plants and flowers at great value prices. The market is open on Sundays only. 14 minute cycle or 30mins by bus.

Every Sunday from 8am to 2pm, the market is open. Traders begin setting up their stalls as early as 4am. Plants, bedding plants, shrubs, bulbs, and freshly cut flowers are all available at affordable prices. Many of the traders are selling at the market for the second or third generation of their families. Bread and cheeses, antiques, garden accessories, exotic international foods, soap, candlesticks, and Buddhist artefacts are all available in the market.
