Visitors arrive from all over the world to enjoy the adventure of Shi Shi Beach. The trail consists of a great mix of rainforest hiking and beach walking.

8 miles round trip hike to see the Point of Arches. You will need a Makah park pass as well as an Olympic National Park wilderness pass.

Remote beach. Access through Makah Indian Reservation is blocked due to Covid. Check at ONP Visitor's Center for update on access restriction. Worth the drive. On the way to Cape Flattery.

Shi Shi beach is one of the most exotic beaches on the Washington Coast, but it's at the tip of the Peninsula. Driving there from the Ocean House will take 3.5 hours. It's 146.4 scenic miles up highway 101. Note, see the National Park Services link below. This is Makah land and a Makah Recreation Pass must be purchased in Neah Bay prior to arriving at any trailheads on the Makah Indian Reservation.

Near the Cape Flattery Trail in Neah Bay, Shi Shi Beach is accessed via a 2 mile hiking trail (very muddy), then it is an additional 2 miles to reach the iconic Point of the Arches during low tide. 8 miles roundtrip to do it all (with good tides of course).
