If you are into history of the area this is interesting. It wouldn't take long to tour but has a neat fort. You could very well be the only people visiting at the time.

The Fort has been restored with a museum, reinactments and the campground and hike-bike trail as well.

The fort and several other buildings have been reconstructed from the time of the Oregon Trail. There are living history demonstrations at various times. Walking paths throughout the park and a hike-bike trail to Cottonmill Park on the north side of Kearney (over 13 miles).
