Visit the museum to wander through a permanent exhibition of life in Morpeth in the 1860’s. Pick up a Morpeth Heritage Walking Map and visit 25 historic sites including the School of Arts (1864) and Murphy’s Cottage (1856) both across the road from Elendar. The museum also has a Walking Guide to Significant Houses of Morpeth which includes Elendar

It's got a huge amount of local history and family history material from the early beginnings of the regional communities. It's just a short stroll along Swan Street and well worth the effort. Cross the road and view the bridge at the same time from Illalaung Park.
