La Sagrada Familia is a UNESCO World Heritage Site Though a long ways from being completed, La Sagrada Familia was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984. It received the designation mostly because of its unique architecture and Gaudí's ability to create something so innovative and artistic.

The Sagrada Familia is a Roman Catholic basilica designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí, the most famous architect of Catalan modernist architecture. The beginning of its construction was in 1882 and it is believed that by 2025 they will have finished building it, although many of us doubt this claim. La Sagrada Familia is one of Gaudí's most famous works in Barcelona. It's a giant Basilica that has been under construction since 1882 (that's not a typing error) and it's not expected to be completed for some time yet.
