The "Schatzalp" has a long tradition, the Hotel there is already more than 100 years old and it's been a wonderful view over Davos. The Hotel is rebuilded but has still the original style from 1900 century. Aswell you'll find there the "Alpinum" which has more than 5000 different flowers from all over the World.

Take the Schatzalp Funicular directly to the Restaurant and enjoy good food and beautiful vistas.

The magic mountain Those seeking the slower pace of stylish traditional winter sports will find it on the 'magic mountain' high above Davos. Skiers are handed their t-bar personally here against a background of traditional Swiss music. After a comfortable ascent of the mountain, the slopes fall away gently. Skiing as it was in years gone by, whilst experiencing nature. Thanks to this cultivated charm, Schatzalp/Strela is the first 'slowed down' skiing region of Europe. The Schatzalp - at an altitude of 300 metres above Davos - is the starting point of the classic toboggan run to Davos Platz, about which even Thomas Mann wrote in his novel "The Magic Mountain."

Die Schatzalp kann zu Fuss oder bequem mit der Standseilbahn erreicht werden. Das Alpinum Schatzalp bietet über 1300 Pflanzenarten.
