This is a lovely walk along the East River. Great for a morning run! My dog and I enjoy our coffee, well, I enjoy my coffee, on a bench facing the water. So peaceful!

The Harlem River Park Task Force has engaged local artists to design murals, banners and etched panels for the park and adjoining streets to celebrate the unique history and culture of East and Central Harlem. We encourage you to walk, cycle, run, play, relax, and enjoy this unique esplanade along the shores of the Harlem River.

Walk, cycle, run, play, relax, and enjoy this unique esplanade along the shores of the Harlem River. The park restores the community’s historic access to the Harlem River waterfront by providing pedestrian access ways over the Harlem River Drive at 135th Street and Madison Avenue, 139th Street and Fifth Avenue, and 142nd Street and Fifth Avenue.
