By order of Diego Rivera, in 1931 Juan O'Gorman designed one of the first functionalist constructions in Latin America: a house for the painter and his wife Frida Kahlo, where each one would have their own home-studio. It is formed by two houses, independent of one another and united only by a small bridge in its upper part.

I'm not a big fan of Kahlo but as a poltics student I love her husbands work and here you can see his collection of pre-hispanic mini-statues housed in a mini pyramid he had built. The grounds also incude a room dedicated to the work commisioned by the Rockafella family of New York but was in the end cancelled due to the appearacne of Lenin in the murial and Rivera's refusal to remove him.l
