Beach hike out to lighthouse. The county trails around the entry are great for walking dogs.
Dungeness, one of the world’s longest sand spits, shelters a bay rich in marine life. Eelgrass beds attract brant, shorebirds feed on the tideflats, and ducks find sanctuary in the calm waters.
Just a few miles drive to beach access. Explore the wildlife/bird refuge or hike out to the lighthouse via the beach. Great for short or long hikes with or without the kids. Perfect place for a sunset picnic looking out over the Straight of Juan de Fuca.
