Beautiful public gardens that are free to access. There are a variety of hikes and trails all over the park, all of varying difficulty. Get to the top for panoramic views of the city. Visit the Belfast Castle grounds to spend time in the garden, or grab a bite to eat in the basement tavern (if the weather is good, ask if you can take the food outside to the garden). Adventurous playground has just been reopened and is a great spot for kids to play in a fenced off area. Picnic tables just beyond the castle are handy for a homemade lunch.

Great views, lovely play park and Belfast Castle is also there so great for a drink and lunch or dinner. We provide a map in the Boat House for folks to explore.

A challenging but beautiful walk and totally worth it for the amazing scenery and views over Belfast and beyond from the top. A truly lovely way to spend a few hours. Visit Belfast Castle afterwards for a delicious coffee and scone, or full meal
