Apparently, one of the top places to take your sweetie in the area. An old ship with dinner, music and entertainment. Some reviews do say the boat needs some work but the food is good!

An elegant dinner experience on an old river boat! We have had a date here ourselves and it is definitely worth the visit! A beautiful way to relax and experience Lake Conroe!

Built in 1983 in a Mississippi shipyard, the 131-foot paddle-wheeler was cut into sections, then transported by 27 semi trucks to the captive waters of Lake Conroe, at Seven Coves. There the craft was reassembled and finishing touches were added. It was then launched as one of the lake’s most recognizable icons. The Southern Empress offers unforgettable evenings filled with dining, drinks & dancing. By coming aboard, you’ll enjoy dinner on the main deck, party on the Magnolia deck, where the DJ and cash bar keep the good times going, and watch the sunset over the lake on the Texas and Hurricane decks.
