Just a block down the street, check out Cafe Virtuoso for some of the best coffee in San Diego. They also have great empanadas. Definitely get the sauce if you get an empanada.

Probably some of the best beans you will ever have. If you're a coffee lover, this is the place to visit whilst in San Diego. Fair Trade, organic and woman owned, Cafe Virtuoso is it.
