Warm and sunny, this clean and easy care space is the perfect place to come to unwind, relax and allow nature to wrap its blanket around you. We have kept the space simple and uncluttered and love the simplicity of the cottage. With some recycled building products, no fussy modern ornaments, no chairs and tables this is a small and uncomplicated place to relax.

Karaka studio is on the very edge of the Waimea Inlet with water twenty metres from your front door. Lie in bed and watch the tide come in. We are a private estuary island (Manuka Island) but we have drive on access at all times, 25 minutes to Nelson and Motueka. Rabbit Island beach(4km) and Taste Nelson Cycle Trail is a km from our gate. We are central to vineyards, cafes, 3/4 hour to Abel Tasman National park. We have amazing sea, rural , and mountain views. Total privacy assured.

Large bi-folding doors open onto a deck where you can totally relax, enjoy a cold beer, and soak up the sea views. Its in a great location and a great base to explore Golden Bay from. Enjoy getting back to the basics, dozing in a hammock, a unique outdoor hot tub, a friendly weka or two and a spectacular night sky.

Our log cabin is located on a 50acre lifestyle farm in a hidden valley an hour south of Nelson and 40 minutes north of Murchison. It is peaceful and private with stunning mountain views and space to relax. With no traffic noise, the only sounds you will hear are the native birdsong and the Hope River running gently beside the property. NO Discrimination - everybody is welcome here.
