The cottage is located on our 80 acre farmstead in the bucolic rolling hills of Western Wisconsin just over an hour from the Twin Cities. Relax, create, or dream in this peaceful setting. Cherish time with loved ones. Hike along the creek, woodlands and fields. Enjoy the plentiful birds and wildlife. Bring your bike in the summer, and snow shoes in the winter. Cozy up to the wood stove with a hot beverage. Work remotely with our high speed WiFi. We welcome up to two dogs for an additional fee.

NOTE: The lake gets green from algae bloom by Mid July, and swimming may be limited after that time, but boating and fishing remain great all year.

There is a growing art and music scene, with multiple music festivals, etc. The area also has fine restaurants, theaters, parks, and historical sites. Come to be restored.

Remote, tranquil, quiet and private getaway on 5.8 acres on the banks of the Elk Creek; only 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities! This creek is known as a class 1 trout stream. Guests can enjoy fishing, sight seeing, canoeing and kayaking the Chippewa River or Elk Lake, biking, hiking, atv/utv and snowmobile trails nearby as well. Enter a world of peace and calm deep in the woods. This is a beautiful rustic cabin that has been beautifully restored. Permit issued and inspected by Dunn County.

Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable getaway in this fully furnished, 2 bedroom, 1 bath home. Master bedroom with (queen bed) and 2nd bedroom (full over full bunk beds). Living room futon & air mattresses provide more sleeping for 9 adults. Open main living area is ideal for family/friend gatherings. Full equipped kitchen, with all of the amenities of home, washer/dryer, air conditioning, and 2 car garage for safe keeping of personal belongings. Pets welcome just let us know in advance.

Water's Edge House on Tainter Lake

Gorgeous little house with cap cod feel, right on the water. We call this baby "Water's Edge on Tainter Lake". Perfect way for a quick escape from the Twin cities, only 50 minutes away. Fish off the permanent dock on the water. Beautiful views and sunsets on a fun, active recreational lake. Short boat ride to Jake's super club. Some guests say its a "private location", but we are on a very active lake with houses close by. Please read our "other details to note" for more info.

Echo Point | Historic Lakeside Cabin

Echo Point's guest cabin is a unique and tranquil getaway perched on the edge of the water with a grand view of Tainter Lake, about an hour east of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. This renovated cabin - originally built in the 1950's atop a boathouse - provides guests the feeling of being in the trees overlooking the lake. It is the perfect getaway to unwind in nature. 25 minutes from Menomonie (UW-Stout), 45 minutes to Eau Claire, 1 hr 15 minutes to MN. Kamshire Valley's Main Cabin offers an abundance of wildlife viewing, an inviting large brick patio and firepit, miles of trails for snowshoeing, hiking and cross-country skiing. Has 1 bedroom with Queen bed; If you need more rooms we have 2 additional rustic cabins (air, heat-no bathroom) that are available for additional $50/ cabin/night.
