There is a microwave, electric hob, toaster and kettle in the kitchen area. Dining table and chairs. Wall mounted TV and WiFi. There are several quiet beaches with wonderful coastlines to explore within walking distance. There is also the stunning St Medan Golf Course that welcomes visitors all year round.

2 Calgow Cottage is a fully refurbished semi-detached cottage in the heart of Galloway, within walking distance of Newton Stewart, described as the 'Gateway to the Galloway Hills'. Our large garden backs on to the mature woodlands of Kirroughtree Forest, famous for its recreational offering including bike shop and cafe, walking trails, and home to one of the 'seven stanes' mountain biking sites. Closeby are miles of coastline, hills, and spectacular scenery, ideal for that perfect getaway.

The Old Toll House Petite and perfectly formed

Petite but perfectly formed The Old Toll house is a perfect base to explore Dumfries and Galloway. The Old Toll house was built in 1813 the same time as the bridge was built. It was the original Toll house used to collect the payment for people crossing between Newton Stewart and Minnigaff. The old wooden bridge and ford was replaced in 1813 John Rennie (The Elder) won the honour of the commission. Thomas Telford his competitor also submitted plans. Thank you for your booking.

Osprey Cottage sits only 20 meters from the beach in the pretty coastal fishing village of Dunure, benefitting from: Lounge, kitchen, bathroom (no bath) & 3 bedrooms, bedroom 1 on the ground floor with a king-size bed, bedroom 2 is upstairs, with a double bed and a en-suite shower room. Bedroom 3 is open plan with stairs leading down to the living area please see photos), sleeps 5, private parking, unlimited Wi-Fi, log burner, oil central heating, sea and castle views. The cosy cottage provides perfect accommodation for up to 4 people. You can enjoy the spa pool, sauna, and paddle boards whilst experiencing breath-taking views. The cottage is located a stones throw from the beach, with stunning views looking over Strangford Lough and the Mourne Mountains. Only 5 minutes walk is the village of Kircubbin, where there are pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. With the water so close, wake up to the sounds, views & smell of the sea.

Seal Bay Cottage - Large garden with Sea view.

A recently renovated 120 year old workers cottage, set off the main road with private parking and a large back garden that leads directly to the beach. On a high tide the sea can come within a metre or so from the bottom of the garden. Whilst the beach is a public space it is typically only utilized by the residents due to the limited access points along the shore. The perfect setting to enjoy life by the sea and explore the beautiful Ards Peninsula.

Back Lodge. Alticry Farm

Well appointed cottage with spectacular setting and very private. Panoramic views over Luce Bay. Mull of Galloway lighthouse is the view from your double bed. Please note electric cars can be charged at Wigtown or Whithorn. Fast charges 50kw and 25p/kilowatt. Cottage wiring and fuses not suitable. The low power adds 4miles per charge and puts a great strain on the wiring/fuses. Like leaving a 8 bar heater on therefore not available at the cottage.

Sitting on the shores of the Irish Sea, Keeper’s Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to walk, beachcomb, birdwatch and explore. Close to the villages of Portaferry, Cloughey and Strangford, the area is rich in wildlife and heritage. Or just relax by the fire and soak up the magic of this unique place. Our other cottage, which is immediately adjacent, sleeps 4 and people often rent the two properties together for larger groups.
