It's 1 mile from Goshen College, 45 minutes from Notre Dame and 25 minutes from the Amish town of Shipshewana. The cottage is beside a fruit, nut and berry orchard and gardens. It's adjacent to a city bike trail that links to the Pumpkinvine nature/bike trail. It's close to a train crossing (with whistle) and a busy street.

Welcome to the little stone cottage on beautiful Sylvan Lake. We are located in Rome City, IN. This adorable house, originally built in 1930, was remodeled and completely renovated in 2018. The updated kitchen features tiled backsplash, gas range, oven, and fridge. There is a microwave and Keurig for your convenience. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, a small wardrobe for hanging clothes, and a dresser. The bathroom features a tiled shower.

Everything inside and outside the cottage was recently remodeled including a brand new bathroom. You and your guests will love the well manicured property. This is a lake front location with lots of great fishing. A pier is right out front to relax on and enjoy the lake. There is a fire pit for roasting marshmallows or just enjoying the evening. You can also use the charcoal grill, picnic table and enjoy a nice lunch outside.
