Historic House Close to Fredericksburg

Travel back in time nearly 200 years and stay at the Bazil Gordon House -built by America's first millionaire. Circa 1820, this house started as the private home of Bazil Gordon a short walk from his trading outpost in Historic Falmouth, VA directly on the Rappahannock River. The house has also been a civil war hospital, a stop on the underground railroad, a tavern, an excavation site that found venetian trade beads in the back yard, and it is now completely remodeled in 2021 to host guests.

We have fully equipped the home with everything you will likely need, because our goal is that you just have to pack your clothes, swimming suits, and water shoes. Rumored to be an in-home post office in Greene County, VA, this cabin has been restored to provide you with a charming getaway. The loft bedroom provides a cozy view of the wood-burning fireplace in the living room below. A key feature to this cozy cabin is the soaking tub large enough for two! Maximum 2-person occupancy. Pets are allowed and are charged a fee of $25 (first night) and $15 (per ea. add'l night).
