Unwind at this peaceful oasis in the hills of Argyll in the Trossachs national park. Our converted barn has a twin bedroom downstairs & double room on the open mezzanine above an open-plan living kitchen area. The bathroom has a bath and separate shower, as well as a washing machine and a tumble drier. Access to the adjacent forestry road is via a car park 100m north along the roadside. This offers extensive walking routes, including to the Benmore Botanic Garden, Pucks Glen & The Coylet.

Greenshadows - a detached 16th-century two story Scottish cottage fronting River Leny with views of Ben Ledi in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The house has a rich history. Locally called ‘The Pink House’, it was a safe haven during the Jacobite uprising. The author of ‘The Junglebook’ is thought to have resided at Greenshadows for a short period. Of note is William Turner’s painting of Ben Ledi from Kilmahog Bridge (on display at the Tate Gallery) just a few hundred metres away.

We accept a max of 2 well behaved dogs no larger than a Labrador. Separate garden for guests use. Safe little beach and swings just across the road . Start of the Goatfell path 5 min walk away. Located in the north Arran village of Lochranza, this house is an ideal jumping off place for hiking, visiting Arran’s attractions or for a day-trip to Kintyre. By day, enjoy watching the yachts come and go and catch sight of some of Arran’s wildlife. In the evening, cozy up in front an open fire after taking in one of Arran’s long sunsets. Please note the property may not be suitable for children under 5 and I don't provide any baby/child equipment (eg stair gates).
