Arbutus Cabin is situated amongst old growth fir and arbutus trees and is part of Quadra Island’s history. Despite a few improvements over the years, the cabin maintains its character reminiscent of its heritage. Relax on the large, covered deck and watch boats come and go all day or, lose yourself in a book in the over-sized chair in the reading nook. Our " floathouse" has everything a guest could want, privacy and a beautiful waterfront location on the Whaletown Lagoon. There is a shared family dock for launching your kayaks, swimming, or just relaxing and watching the changing of the tides. Its vintage ambience combines much of its original historical nature and water travels with modern updates. A former bunk house for hand logging camps and part of our floating household, its traveling days are now over.
