The Historic Ranch House

We have intentionally tried to preserve as much of the ranch house as possible while still updating the house to today’s standards. The most notable piece of history is the Monarch cook stove in the kitchen, the doorways and doors that are not as tall as today’s standards, the original wood floor in the master bedroom and original moulding around some of the doors. The house is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath house with all the amenities from home. We hope you enjoy our little piece of ranch history!

This is a gorgeous 1909 home with a 2010 two story addition that has been newly renovated and furnished for your enjoyment :) Just 260 yards from the Arkansas River by the ball fields, you can walk down M street and put your feet in the river in 3 minutes. You can also put boats/tubes in the river here and float through downtown, or land here after floating to town from upstream. Stroll or bike the riverwalk that starts here and takes you to downtown, or upstream to a couple local lakes.

No fishing on property. Guests like to see our wild trout. There are many fishing spots nearby.

We have a big garden, and chickens and ducks (fresh eggs in season!), and we're frequented by visits from deer, great-horned owls, red-tailed hawks, and sometimes wild turkeys and elk!

Our place is a 10-min walk to the hot springs swimming pool and close to downtown Salida and the bike path.
