Due to COVID, Sam Choy devised creative ways to enable food services by making food ordering and services cafeteria style to address staff shortages. You will order and pay for your food at the reception. You are provided with a buzzer alerting you when your food is ready. The bar attendants may offer to bring you your food when time permits. The quality of the food is delicious and worth the trouble.

An important Hawaiian ceremonial site shows some of ancient Hawaiians' laws and practices. The park offers restrooms, a small gift shop, tours of the ancient grounds and interpretation led by guides. Parking is available for a fee. Right next to sacred grounds is Two-steps, a great snorkelling spot for snorkelers.

It's also a pleasant stroll down to the Outrigger's Resort and hotel. On Wednesdays between 9 am and 2 pm, the Ho’oulu Community Farmers Market opens and is only a stroll away.

Farmer's Markets on the Big Island
In farmer's markets, you will find many local artists selling their pride and joy, ranging from fruits and vegetables, pastry, honey, nuts, butter and many others.
The Ho’oulu Community Farmers Market is held every Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. At the Kona Outriggers Resort & Spa at Keauhou Bay, the lawn fronting Kaleiopapa Street. The location provides plenty of free parking but can be easily walked from the condo.
