Worth the ride and walk on the sandy beach around the Island. A hang out for the local boating crowd. half the island is underwater at high tide, but on a low tide you can walk across the top of the water and maybe even find a star fish or "price shell" to keep to remember your visit. Bring drinks and picnic with you. Snorkel area is on the east side of the island and is safe for children.
