You probably know about Marcus Samuelson's now famous Red Rooster restaurant in Harlem, but you may not know that us locals often forego the restaurant in order to head straight downstairs to Ginny's Supper Club. On any given night there are live performances and DJ's, which add to the good food (Red Rooster) and great bar cocktails. Oh, and it's free to get in - just grab a drink, sit back and enjoy the show!

The Ravine is a very special place in Central Park. My personal favorite not-so-secret secret spot is The Pond located near the 103rd street entrance. It's a perfect place to get away from all things "city". Get your hike on, bring your camera or find a bench or a mound, take a blanket, grab a book and enjoy.

There a quite a few drycleaners in the area - all are good. But, I highly suggest Helen's. They are fast, good and reasonable. If you have a rush job, try to go in as early as possible (around or before 9am) for a same-day request. Walk outside, turn right and you're there!

While we never plan for an emergency to happen when away from home, things happen. Luckily, the Mt. Sinai St. Luke's ER (Emergency Room) is walkable distance away. This hospital system has a good reputation for delivering consistant care.
