Great scones but get there before they run out. They don't take reservations, and it's a small place, so you might have to wait in line for a litlte bit, although usually not very long. A favorite with locals.

Parks & Nature

Klahhane Ridge Trail is a strenuous day trip, rated Difficult. Snow until at least June, usually, check Ranger Station before you go. Start in the high country off Hurricane Ridge. Magnificent mountain views. Out-and-back trail. DISTANCE 12.6 miles, ELEVATION GAIN 4,514 feet. Connects with Lake Angeles and Heather Park trails. Cell phone service highly unlikely, be prepared for all conditions and wildlife.
Worth a stop on your way anywhere in the vast park area to get oriented and check trail and road conditions. Historial and nature info, too.

Wildlife area. The longest natural sand spit in North America. The Dungeness Spit just north of Sequim boasts breathtaking views, rich maritime history and an abundance of wildlife. It stretches nearly seven miles north into the Strait of Juan de Fuca and continues to grow by around 13 feet each year. Hiking the Dungeness Spit is a rewarding experience for all levels of physical ability. The Dungeness Recreation Area is the place to start your adventure. The Clallam County Park sits atop a bluff overlooking the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The park offers camping, picnic areas, and miles of equestrian and pedestrian trails, and wildlife. Just northwest of the recreation area you’ll find the Dungeness Spit gate. A $3 entry fee covers a group up to four people and provides access to 11 miles of hiking. Be sure to pack food and water, and check the tides before you go. Volunteers are on hand to offer helpful tips and guidance.

The Carnegie Museum in downtown Port Angeles is now managed by the Elwha Klallam Tribe and used to display cultural and historical artifacts related to the history of the tribe and other tribes on the Olympic Peninsula. Excellent, award-winning museum displays artifacts from an entire coastal village that was wiped out in a mudslide. It's small, but allow at least a couple of hours. Cape Flattery is nearby.
