the place is hardly bigger than your root, a bit grungy, but really homey and entirely sunlit. it is a family friendly place (translate: lots of mamas and papas and babies inside) which i recommend because it is THE place to get the last rays of sun, stunning terrasse in the summer.

really, really hearty breakfast choice. You can choose from pancakes, eggs florentine and more. If you are in the area its definitely worth a visit. right on the canal too!

The visionaries' club is set on the canal nearby, on the edge of a huge, fantastic park, "treptower park". the riverside bar with a wooden sun terrace & electronic music, is known for sunday afternoon parties.

the way up to the 10th floor of the bikini haus is really worth the climb. perfect for the berlin night owls that enjoy agood view: around the entire circumference of the building is a terrace enabling you to enjoy a breath-taking vista of Gedächtniskirche, Budapester Straße, Kurfürstendamm and City West.
From the neighbouring NENI restaurant you can watch the monkeys in their enclosure at the Berlin Zoo during the day, not visible at night of course. In exchange the phrase "Life is Beautiful" illuminates the Berlin night sky from the Monkey's rooftop terrace - in a way also the motto for the night.

the TV tower, nicknamed Alex by berliners, is the perfect spot to see AND see berlin from, because of its 360 windows, you can see all of berlin. there IS quite a queue, to avoid it, i recommend having lunch or dinner there, not for the food, but for the revolving restaurant: within one hour, tour right around berlin! the best way to cut that queue is to make a reservation here: info@tv-turm.de

Berlin's East Side Gallery is made up of a stretch of what was once the Berlin Wall, now displaying political artworks from the time of the walls fall. It is located along the Spree River and is the longest lasting outdoor gallery in the world. The gallery is also the longest stretch of both inner and outer walls left standing in the city. Since the fall of the wall in '89, artists have been invited to come and paint murals with various political statements and significances onto its remnants to create this gallery. It doesn't take all that long to walk the stretch and there are a couple of tourist shops and food stalls on the way where you can pick up some currywurst or a piece of the berli
