been under renovation for several years. The conversion to a restaurant was completed in early 2017. I’ve been there several times and enjoyed it.

Has 3 dining options: Northland Pub, Piedmont Restaurant, and North Star Lounge. The Landmark is one of my favorites. The pub is casual and fun. The Piedmont is a more formal restaurant, excellent food, good for groups. The North Star Lounge is a small gem tucked away on the 6th floor. In the summer it has great views of the lower harbor. Good place to take your date.

Probably the best place to sit down for pizza and beer. Get the breadsticks and cheese. They have select Michigan craft beers on tap and a full menu with a lot of options, but I don’t make it past the pizza. It’s a small and popular place; expect it to be pretty busy on weekend evenings. It’s not a good option for very small children: no high chairs or booster seats. If you want to take kids out for Pizza, Aubrey’s which is next door is a better bet.

927 N 3rd StGood pizza and other comfort food options. Try the giro and waffle fries. This is an old school Marquette establishment. It’s a local favorite and is reasonably priced. I think they redecorated in 1980… I’m ok with that.
Want to watch a game? This your best bet. It’s a small sports bar with a lot of TVs, friendly staff and giant beers. If you’re into bar food, Stucko’s will not disappoint. They have a surprisingly large menu and good kitchen in a small space. In the evening, it is a popular student bar.

900 N 3rd StWant to watch a game? This your best bet. It’s a small sports bar with a lot of TVs, friendly staff and giant beers. If you’re into bar food, Stucko’s will not disappoint. They have a surprisingly large menu and good kitchen in a small space. In the evening, it is a popular student bar.

It’s a good place to grab a breakfast bagel and coffee. It's a popular place and can be pretty slow at times, but it is usually worth the wait. If you work remotely, it’s a good place to hang out with your laptop and watch the crowd go by.

Popular with a diverse scene of Marquette residents.

At the North end of Presque Isle is “Black Rocks” it’s a small cove. In the summer, it is a popular place to jump off cliffs into Lake Superior… or just watch the kid’s jump.

It is a very beautiful section of Lake Superior shoreline with a sandy beach. For the more adventurous, there are a lot of great hiking trails in this area. Are you looking for a more challenging hike? The Hogback hike is not long, but it is fairly steep and requires more effort than Sugar Loaf. It’s a beautiful area, check the Marquette Trails App for directions.
