You can go by our ferry. Beware the ferry does not run on a Sunday. Also the last ferry back here leaves Gourock at 18.13. Don't miss that one. The ferry is passenger only. It is a 10 minute journey and is well worth it for a fun way to go across the water for brunch. Timetable in the visitors' green folder or online: Kilcreggan/Gourock ferry timetable. There are other eateries in Gourock all an easy stroll from the peir.

Inverary is a most beautiful village about one hour's drive from here. To get there you need to go through the mountain pass known as the Rest and Be Thankful. Do as it says, the views make it well worthwhile. There is an award-winning snack van in the car park at the top there. Easy access there to Ben Donich for a climb which is not too strenuous. If you'd rather wander in a fairyland glen, then visit the nearby Hell's Glen to be enchanted. The hotel in Ardentinny is remote but open to visitors for meals and is well worth the visit. Continue northwest to Inverary. The Duke of Argyll is in residence in the castle which is open to visitors.

Getting Around
This station is 10 minutes away in the car. The West Highland Line runs through it leading to the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct from the Harry Potter series. This is the most delightful railway journey. The overnight train to London passes through - so we are well connected!
