Dizengoff is easy walking distance from the house and they do excellent coffee! Their mushroom on toast is a decent size - you definitely won't be hungry afterwards!

Chapel is a lively and friendly bar - they have a live DJ most nights and great outdoor seating - perfect on a sunny day. It's cosy inside if it is raining. The staff are always welcoming and they have an excellent food menu. Try the pizzas!

The Cav is the place to go to watch live sport events! We watch all the rugby games here. There is a great deck with plenty of seating and they do excellent food.

This is a quiet little wine bar next to the always frantically busy Prego restaurant.
It is a perfect place to have a drink on your own with a good book or do some people watching while sitting on the tables out front.
One of our favourites as it's never hectic and always very welcoming.

An easy-ish 30 minute walk and you'll be at a lovely little beach! Check the tides though, you want to go when the tide is in. It's a great little spot and I've had several guests say we should mention this is walking distance from the house!

We often take the dogs here (a lot of the park is an off leash dog park) and you can navigate your way through the park to Westhaven Marina where you will see why Auckland is named the "City of Sails". You will get a great view of the Auckland Harbour Bridge. There a a few little cafes along the way too.
