The 1,237 steps up (and down) might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's a gorgeous view from the top. Watch for the monkeys along the first 200 steps or so - no actual tigers are around, though.

Accessible by longtail boat only - start from Ao Nang (15 min.) or Krabi Town (30 min.). 'Rye-lay' beach puts a scenic exclamation point on any trip to Thailand. Worth a day trip in and of itself.

Between the nightly Night Market and the nearby Thara Park, there's plenty of room to stretch out here. The market has plenty of food, and is cooler thanks to the breeze.

For some folks, it's just not a trip until you've been to Irish bar. Here ya go =) Note Ao Nang has plenty more bars not listed here or on Google Maps - stick to the main roads and you'll see dozens.
