If you're coming to PV, this is a must for me! One of the best!
It is well known for being one of the highest quality gourmet restaurants. It is a bit expensive but it is totally worth it. I recommend it for dinner. Make a reservation.

Incredible Spanish restaurant with amazing views to the center of PV and the ocean. The food is excellent and atmosphere is really good. I recommend this for lunch and dinner. Rooftop is very nice!

This is a taco stand on the street, it's not a restaurant but an informal taco cart with great seafood tacos. Their speciality are the breaded shrimp tacos.
It is not in the touristic area but very near from downtown.

Really good oriental and Thai food in a small but very nice restaurant located in the Olas Altas neighborhood. I recommend it for lunch and dinner.

This is personally one of my favourite restaurants for dinner as it is very private and elegant, besides the excellent food. They mainly serve mediterranean food. Expect a very private and calm ambience.

This is not a must but are one of the best tacos I can recommend in Romantic Zone. Featuring tacos de pastor, steak, etc. Branch from a well known local taquería in Puerto Vallarta.

Great place for seafood and service! Although this is a commercial (locally) restaurant, its dishes are authentic from the region of Nayarit and they are very good.
Located in the hotel zone of PV, I recommend also visiting la Isla mall which is just in front before or after being at the restaurant.

Parks & Nature
Boca de Tomatlán is the place to get a water taxi to get to the famous beaches located in the south of PV. I recommend Las Animas, Quimixto and Yelapa or any of the beach clubs listed in this guidebook.
If you like hiking and walking, you can walk from Boca de Tomatlan all the way to "Las Animas" and get incredible views of great beaches and the ocean. This walk is usually 1hr from Boca de Tomatlán to "Las Animas" where you can get food and return back to Boca de Tomatlán in a water taxi.
