Swyft is our other favorite downtown spot. Delicious wood fired pizzas and local food. They have a cozy inside and a lovely outside patio perfect for a beautiful night. Its fine dining sister restaurant Ore Hill is opening soon. The building is a beautifully renovated old house in the center of town.

Arethusa al Tavolo is a delicious fine dining restaurant in Bantam. It is part of an overarching dairy business (Arethusa) that the Manolo Blahnik founders have started (who would have thought!). If it is nice weather, I highly recommend sitting on the patio — it’s a much nicer ambience than inside. You can also go to Arethusa Dairy for to-die for ice cream right next door! They now have a coffee shop / lunch spot called Arethusa a Mano. Also new is Arethusa Garden — a farm stand of their fruits and veggies (it is right near White Memorial). Check their website out as well — sometimes they are doing tours of their barns.

If you are looking for a delicious lunch, check out JP Gifford. They have fantastic sandwiches. There is one in downtown Kent and another (newer) one in Sharon with better inside seating.

The Red Barns in downtown Kent are just fantastic for shopping. All sorts of art galleries, antique stores, and more. Highly recommend parking your car and just wandering around town! You will also find a lovely bookstore and the Kent Library Book Sale (on weekend summer days).
