Kids love it. They get to handle some of the animals and feed the lambs, there are tractor rides and adventure trails, a good cafe, super picnic spot and if the weather's foul the indoor play area is great!

Great pub within about 20 minute walk across fields from the cottage. Good food in a proper local pub. Garden at the front is generally lively with locals, the back garden is on the river and surrounded by fields so you might get an audience of sheep while you eat! Beautiful spot for a sunset.

Go to the Jerwood not for the art but for its close proximity to the Hastings Old Town Fishermans beach where you can buy fresh lobster and crab to take home or sit on the beach with the best fish and chips from Maggie's. (The Jerwood also sometimes has OK art exhibitions!)
