I love this place for coffee. They even have spiked coffees.. mmm my favorite or bloody marys to go. The breakfast is amazing as well. Its an easy walk from the house to who dat and then you can continue the walk to either the frenchman or the french quarter.

When you visit city park you will see bayou st. john or other waterways. One fun thing to do in town is to rent a kayak and play in the water. Check out bayou paddlesports, they'll hook you up.
