“The cruise is called Hardangerfjord to Eidfjord. You can book it at the Tourist Information Centre in Bergen 850 NOK p.p. or online. You get the timetable and details.
Everything was well and easy arranged. You take an early bus (7:25) for 1,5 hours from Bergen busstation.
You have to be on time!
In Norheimsund is the cruiseterminal. The bus delivers you there. You can sit in or outside. The cruise is 3,5 hours.
In Eidfjord you get off and explore the village. We took a walk by the river to a beach and Viking burialground. You can also take a bus to a waterfall. Ticket can be bought at Tourist information centre at Eidfjord. Good ice cream, close at the water, there!
We loved the cruise. Beautiful view of the fjord and waterfalls! Really tired afterwards, but it was worth it.
The cruiseschip will take you back to Norheimsund. There you wait for half an hour. The bus will take you back to Bergen.

Local hike straight from our place. Only 1,2k - mostly uphill hike on paved path with some gravel on the last part. It’s a nice spot to see the sunset and a panoramic view of the fjords.

One of the most popular places to hike and you can take the tracked gondola one or both ways. There is full serving on the top with a restaurant and a bakery.
To get there take the bus to Bryggen and follow the path upwards. Its a 40-60min hike - only 3,5k but a 350 meter elevation.

One of the most popular places to hike and you can take the tracked gondola one or both ways. There is full serving on the top with a restaurant and a bakery.
To get there take the bus to Bryggen and follow the path upwards. Its a 40-60min hike - only 3,5k but a 350 meter elevation.
A more challenging and beautiful hike is up to Ulriken 643. Some years ago the trail was upgraded with rock stairs and it’s a great steep hike. The hike will take approx 60-90min
There is an amazing restaurant on top where you also can book a table for dinner and watch the sunset. There is a gondola that can take you up and down.
