Visit "The Pub" (which faces the grocery store on Sierra Way) for classic pub fare, or check out the newer "Backyard" (which faces Sierra Dr, you can see it from the apartment) for a more foodie driven menu. The Pub has great live music on Friday nights. Check ahead if you want to visit the Backyard, as their open hours are seasonal (typically Fri-Sun).

Parks & Nature
This trail is out of the way, but it is an amazing experience. The giant sequoias on the trail are some of the largest in the entire world. The trail itself is paved and handicap accessible.
Be prepared for a trek though, it takes roughly an hour to drive to the trailhead from Kernville. Fill up on gas before you leave Kernville, there aren't any gas stations once you leave town.
This trail is only open during the summer months.

Trail of 100 Giants Trailhead
County Route 107This trail is out of the way, but it is an amazing experience. The giant sequoias on the trail are some of the largest in the entire world. The trail itself is paved and handicap accessible.

This hike is amazing in the spring, especially when the wildflowers are in bloom. Be ready for a lot of uphill. This is also the bottom of the spectacular "Cannell Plunge" mountain bike trail, so keep an eye out for mountain bikes coming down the hill. Take the trail all the way up to Powers Peak for amazing views of the Kern River Valley.
