This is a lovely little church and worth a 10 minute detour to go and see it. Beautiful murals painted on the inside of the walls. Be sure to leave a donation as it helps keep the church open for visitors.

Gorgeous 4 mile drive, go slow and look for the waterfalls, pull over and take photo's. You'll pass a large opening (look for cars parked on the side of the road). Get out and walk down the path to see breathtaking views of this lovely bay. Botanical Gardens is on this road.

Take a quick drive down Banyan Drive. These trees were planted in the 1950's I believe and famous people purchased them. There are name placards by each tree. Banyan Drive leads to the Queens Park where there are picnic tables and restrooms. Beautiful photo op's!

Okay if you're on the Kona side and need some cheap eats, there is always Costco - they have lots of ready to go deli stuff in the back by the meat section, or get something from the food window up front. Okay this place is a little pricey ($15+), but they have a nice menu, food is fabulous, and the outdoor seating in the garden is lovely and tranquil. Plus if you're a beer connoisseur, you'll have lots of fun picking out some beers to try.

This is a fun place to take the kids. They have the most gorgeous shop decorations, free candy samples, and the kids can watch them make candy. The candy is a little pricey, but uber delicious and makes a nice gift to take home to someone...although I'd eat it all before it got home!

It's in the Alii Ice company, on the inside circle of the park, kind of hidden. Look for the "We Cool" sign on top. They have a little ice cream shop inside, or take your island pop's and sit down by the water. $1.50 each!

Lots of hands on stuff for kids to do, large aquarium, and clean restrooms. It's not very big, but the kids will love it. About a 30 minute adventure.
