You will find 30-40 stalls selling fresh produce and locally produced crafts. The market is open all year round on Saturdays from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm. During July and August it is also open on Fridays Sundays, and Bank Holidays and every day during the Galway Arts Festival from 12.00 to 6.00. But you need to be there early for the best bargains!

Located close to the city centre, it stretches along the River Corrib. The oldest part of the university, the Quadrangle building with its Aula Maxima was designed by John Benjamin Keane; it is a replica of Christ Church, one of the colleges at the University of Oxford. The stone from which it is built was supplied locally from the Menlo area.
