This place is owned by a very affable Frenchman (Anthony) hailing from the Burgundy region of France and his lovely Quebecoise wife While there is the standard coffee shop fare he also offers other hot meal menu items and preps a special gourmet meal on weekends. Not to be missed. Plus it's the closest coffee you can buy. Liquorstore with the basics next door, same owners. The local ROAM bus stop is right outside the Market and will take you into Canmore where you can hop on the ROAM Canmore-Banff route into the Banff Townsite if you wanna brave the crowds...

Great place to take the family - it's an old quarry pit turned into a lake so on a hot day it's a better bet than other glacier-fed options ;) View can't be beat.

Don't miss this if you want to get your hike on. You can walk from the Chalet right along the Bow River into Canmore town and join up with this trail.
