the be all end all of small but amazing rooms.. i've seen everyone from Marilyn Manson to Dwight Yoakum here - be warned though -you will never want to see a show in a large venue again - booking 930 is a coup for any new band and if you haven't heard of the band, you soon will - if they are playing 930 they are great- you won't see a bad show- ever... a DC institution if you are a live music fan this room is a MUST. xo

weirdly this place stocks it all! and its just across the street in the bowels of Gallery Place :-) It has a World Market, full of fun foods and they stock all the convenience store staples, shampoos, pop tarts, soda pop etc.

If your'e a bit more esoteric.. the indie foreign art house films all show here.. just a few blocks away and the food is pretty good... beer and wine encouraged... which i think totally makes movies better
