A local favorite - they make a fabulous chai tea. You can get your drink to go OR they will put it in a ceramic mug for you to sit and enjoy like you were at home! They have lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating along the river. Bring a jacket in the morning as it is chilly, even in the summer along the river, but what a wonderful way to wake up!

Claire's absolutely has hands-down the best Bloody Mary in all of Estes Park. They offer many varieties, but my favorite is the Bacon Bloody Mary (with a full strip of bacon in it!). Also love the Shrimp & Grits when it is on the menu!

225 Park LnClaire's absolutely has hands-down the best Bloody Mary in all of Estes Park. They offer many varieties, but my favorite is the Bacon Bloody Mary (with a full strip of bacon in it!). Also love the Shrimp & Grits when it is on the menu!

While I love our local coffee shop, Kind Coffee, I also like the local Starbucks. It's always nice to know exactly what you are going to get no matter where you are and the baristas at the Starbucks are great - the staff are locals too and we have to spread the love in our little town.

It's always nice to know exactly what you are going to get no matter where you are and the baristas at the Starbucks are great - the staff are locals too and we have to spread the love in our little town.
We like to order the "Colorado Nachos" and will often get them "to go". Sit at the bar and have a drink while they are being made, and then walk a block back to Rock Nook and enjoy them on the deck looking at the mountains!

A newer, farm to table restaurant in Estes Park - I have tried it and loved my meal! It's truly a culinary experience, save this one for a special night out.

Laura's and their "sister store" across the street, Hailey's has the best ice cream and caramel apples in town. My personal fave is the peanut, chocolate, caramel apple and I love that they will slice it and put it in a cup for you.

Probably the most popular starting place for hiking in RMNP. There are a couple of trail heads from Bear Lake but the most popular one leads to three more lakes... Nymph, Dream, and Emerald Lake.

This is definitely a moderate rated hike, with the most difficulty being at the very end of the hike as you summit. The features of this hike though are that you don't have to enter the National Park to get to the trail head and the views are incredible. At the very top, Gem Lake is peaceful and beautiful and worth the effort. A local favorite!

You can get more details on their website, but here is an excerpt: The Craft & Design Center is typically open seven days a week. Year-round, open sections include; painting wood crafts, mosaic, ceramic painting, ceramic glazing, tie dye, sand pouring, leather stamping, kids jewelry and adult jewelry. Starting the end of May, we open silk painting, glass fusing, and basket making, and hours will extend to 9:30 am – 8:00 pm. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
