The Plough Inn is located in St Asaph (reputed to be the one of the smallest cities in Wales). It has a Cathedral at the top of the high street. It is approximately 3 miles away. The pub is large, with lots of seating, serves good food and is open all day.

A pretty Welsh town that should not be missed if you come to North Wales. It is also very close to Snowdon and the Snowdonia National Park.

A pretty Welsh town that should not be missed if you come to North Wales. It is also very close to Snowdon and the Snowdonia National Park.
Llangollen is a lovely town with the picturesque river Dee running through it. 45 minute drive away. Great for water kayaking, canoeing and other outdoor pursuits. It also has a steam train that follows the route of the river to the nearby town of Corwen. A very pretty, scenic excursion. There are also an assortment of shops (a lot selling homemade crafts) and a few good pubs and restaurants....

Llangollen is a lovely town with the picturesque river Dee running through it. 45 minute drive away. Great for water kayaking, canoeing and other outdoor pursuits. It also has a steam train that follows the route of the river to the nearby town of Corwen. A very pretty, scenic excursion. The Offa’s Dyke Path (earthworks) is very close by to the B&B. The path runs from Prestatyn in the North to Chepstow in the South. It was built by the successful Anglo-Saxon King Offa who reigned 757-796 AD, to exclude raids into England by the Welsh (& vice versa).

The very attractive and historic Roman city of Chester is over 2000 years old and approximately 30 minutes away by car. This city should not be missed!!! It has a large assortment of high street stores and unique boutique shops, many which are located in the historic city “Rows”. There are lots of restaurants and pubs, also nightclubs, cinemas and theatres. It also has a Roman Amphitheatre, Roman gardens and a lovely river that offers boat trips.
