Great pub located just above the beach, with fantastic views across the headland and out to sea. Really good food, and a fantastic place to head out on numerous walks around the coast line. There is a great walk (quite hilly though!) to a somewhat secret beach at Tregardock, which if you are feeling adventurous and up for a good walk is well worth a trip. You can find out more about the route here: http://www.cornwallinfocus.co.uk/walking/mountain.php

Lovely sandy beach near Padstow. At low tide the sand here stretches over a mile and a half, up to and beyond neighbouring Hawkers Cove to the north, and around Gun Point to the east. It is this same sand that has been the curse of mariners for centuries, for they form the infamous Doom Bar where many a ship has come to grief. Over 600 ships have hit this sandbar since records began in the early 1800s which is why the lifeboat station was built at Hawkers Cove. More information on how to get there, parking etc see: https://www.cornwall-beaches.co.uk/north-coast/harbour-cove.htm Tide times: https://www.cornwalls.co.uk/weather/tide_times.htm Dog-friendly all year.

Port Isaac is a beautiful fishing village a short drive from the lodge. It was home to the Doc Martin TV show and now for the foodies, two of Nathan Outlaw's restaurants. There are a number of nice walks by the coast line and some great little shops to explore in the town. Including local art, crafts, confectionery and general souvenirs. Well worth a visit and can get a good Cornish Cream Tea here as well :)

A beautiful church set on the headland with great views of the sea and a dog-friendly footpath to walk along. There is plenty of car parking spaces as well so you can drive there. It is a steep hill to walk up if you decide to go by foot, but worth the effort.
