Its a grocery store with all ecological stuff. A bit more expensive compared to the Albert Heijn across the street, but they have a really nice collection of cheeses and their take-away meals are great!

The oldest bar in Amsterdam (Hoppe) is situated here. Is in the middle of the shopping area with all the big brands. Can be crowded with tourists so a bit touristy!
Best fries shop Vleminckx is worth a visit and small coffee bar "De laatste Kruimel" is also nearby!

The red light district. A bit packed with tourists these days so you won't see the locals there. I think it has lost its charm a little but it is a unique part of the city. Local beer cafe Gollem is a nice place to have a drink!

My favorite neighbourhood. It has small streets and canals with very good food, a nice biological local market on saturdays, and the best apple pie at "Winkel". Dinner is great at Italian restaurant Toscanini. Anne Frank house is also situated here, but is always very crowded.
