They do not charge any commission but good always to ask and check the change rate on the monitors they have on the wall.

It is a new Church built after the 1990s by the Dominican Fathers. The church is dedicated to St. Dominic. The church is the parish. They are served by the Dominican fathers from Malta. The church is in a circular shape, this shape brings to mind the united community around the Altar where the Eucharistic Sacrifice is celebrated. It was dedicated by Mons. Rrok Mirdita.

The church was named after St. Lucia before the Ottoman conquest. Saint Lucia was a Martyr of the II century from Syracuse, Sicily. The church itself was built in 1868 by the Austro-Hungarians, who had the Catholic Church in custody during this period. The church became popular in the period of the Declaration of Independence, where as a parish priest {1893}, she was appointed Dom Nicholas Kacorri. Dom Nicholas gave her a new breath, seeing her, not only as a temple in honor of the god, but also as a center of interfaith understanding and interaction, as a preparer of Albanian teachers, as a school of Albanian language learning and dissemination of the Albanian patriotic press. Not only that, but Dom Nicholas worked with the Albanian sailors to provide the Albanian insurgents with weapons. The patriotic activity of Dom Nicholas culminated as a representative of the people of Durres at the Vlora Assembly on November 28, 1912. The remains of Dom Nicholas rest in this church. In 1937, the Church of St. Lucica was proclaimed cathedral of the Diocese of Durres and in 1939, after the death of Monsignor Peter Gjura, he was named Mons. Vincens Prenushi. Her archbishop. Father Vincens was a renowned writer and poet. During the communist period Father Prenush was arrested and tortured until he died in the notorious prisons. Dom Anton Zogaj, parish priest of St. Lucia and Bishop Jul Bonatti, were also convicted. Their remains, along with those of Father Vincent, have been placed inside the altar of the church after their proclamation as Martyr of the Catholic Church on November 5, 2016. From 1967 to 1991, the Church of St. Lucia served as a puppet theater, but it did not collapse. In 1991, Bishop Damian Kurti revived ecclesiastical life at the facility, while Mother Teresa herself participated in the celebration of the Holy Mass several times. After Father Damian's death, Mons received the ministry. Gjergj Meta, who served for several years. During this time there was also the restoration of the Church with funds from Renovabis and the diocese of Cologne. The project was implemented by architect Indrit Hamiti. Last year St. Lucia Cathedral Church celebrated its 150th anniversary, [April 21, 2018}. thanking the Lord for the testimony of His faithfulness and His constant help. SWIMMING POOL GYM "VENTUS SPORT CENTER"

This gym and pool allowed for easy drop-in, the staff spoke excellent English, the pool had plenty of lanes, and the gym had a good assortment of equipment. I would highly recommend Ventus to people passing through; its only downside is that the locker there do not lock.
