If you feel like a day trip from our house, then drive 56kms along the scenic Great Ocean Road to Maits Rest Rainforest walk. On the way stop for a coffee at Wye River cafe, then Kennett River to view koalas near the Koala cafe and Apollo Bay for fish and chips at the wharf. If you have time, include a walk to She Oak Falls (near Lorne) on the way home.
